Leaving on A Jet Plane

But I DO know when I’ll be back again–April 14th! And in fact, I’m not so sure about this leaving the family thing. Either really funny or really sad, I left Keith a full 3 pages of “lesson plans” for when I’m gone. Surely the world WILL go on without me. Right?

No really, I’m excited about this little adventure. I will spend 7 days in Tulsa, likely mostly with family, but I’ll also get to catch up with some girlfriends. And I get to  go to my nephew Joey’s birthday party, which I’m stoked about! And there will be shopping. And a haircut. And a much-needed appointment with my magic not-a-chiropractor, Danielle.  I’m really excited about my Tulsa time. And then, on Thursday the 10th, I’ll head to Virginia for 3 days, where I’ll know absolutely no one and sing a little diddy. I can already imagine how I’ll feel by the time the 14th rolls around. Claire’s doing really well due to the promise of a special gift upon my return, but Adam surprised me tonight by packing his monkey in my suitcase and proclaiming that he’ll really miss Dad and Claire  and Ben because he’s coming with ME. Keith is using his last sick day tomorrow (a MUCH-needed mental health day. Pray for him–work’s been really, really stressful this week and he’s close to going bonkers with Spring fever). So that eases the goodbye a lot since Dad will be right there.

Okay, so this is signing off to Japan for a bit and seeing you soon to Tulsa…

Lisa is a grateful, born-again follower of Jesus Christ who has spent her adult life on the Gospel in several global contexts. She is the wife of one wonderful, jungle-gym of a man, who is to her the single most ravishing piece of flesh on planet earth (stolen good-heartedly from Christine Caine). She is a dedicated home educator to their four beautiful children, ages 6 to 12, whom she would be happy to gush over any time. She is an avid reader and a storyteller, an aspiring writer, a missionary to the nations and a singer of His praises, a loyal friend, an obsessive-compulsive Googler, and comedienne extraordinaire on her best days. She would also like to think that she is a loyal and loving, truth-telling friend.

  1. It’s ok if Adam comes. It’s ok if Claire and Benny come too!
