Most of you know that we had a miscarriage last fall, but only a few of you know that I’ve been having some slight complications with this pregnancy (cramping and light spotting). Well, we talked to doctors into giving me an early sonogram, and just want to tell everybody the good news–everything looks fine!! The heartbeat was nice and strong, the baby’s development is right on track, my cervix was closed tight, and there was no bleeding. My due date seems to be right on so far as well (March 22nd). He did instruct me to take it very easy the next 4 weeks. You can pray for Keith and I both on that one, if you understand my meaning… 🙂
Please be in prayer for us throughout this pregnancy! It’s been quite a different experience this go-round, after our sad loss last year. Please pray for me–that God will help me to stop holding back my joy for fear’s sake…I’m struggling, friends.
We’re praying all the way with you guys!
Love you!
I am thrilled and we will be praying for you guys. We know first hand how scary the bleeding and cramping can be. . .had TERRIBLE bleeding with Kayla (was told a miscarriage was imminent) but of course, they were wrong! And also had lots of cramping with Nathan. My Doctor told me that early in his practice only about 20% bled and cramped and now the percentage is flipped. Around 80% experience some spotting and cramping throughout the pregnancy. So be encouraged! (as if the good news at the dr wasn’t enough!). We are thrilled and here’s my verse I held on to during the turbulent pregnancy with Kayla. . .”Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it” (Psalm 127:1)
P.S. Just FYI, I ate lots of Flax seed cereal at one point during this pregnancy and experienced intense menstrual like cramps and found out it was the flax. So, don’t eat flax. . .ummm, until the end anyway! It apparently is a possible labor inducing food. . .if there is such a thing!
You’ve got it!
