Keith started tonight’s family devotional off with a question.
“Does anybody know who Jesus’ cousin was?” Surprisingly, it was Ben who answered,
“He eats bugs!” which obviously got a laugh from everyone. And to which Keith responded,
“What was his name, Ben?” And to which Benjamin responded,
“Doofah!” which also got a hearty laugh. Adam, our serious little Bible scholar as of late, corrected him that in fact his name was John (as in the Baptist).
But throughout the rest of the Bible story, EVERY time John’s name was mentioned, Ben whispered adorably to Adam,
“No, his name is Doofah.”
Keith and I had a really hard time getting through the story tonight, to be honest.
