Okay, so I just have to say seriously that first of all, this first one is one of the best songs of all time. And I totally stole about half of Eva Cassidy’s arrangement. So there. This got me into the final round of the Zama Karaoke Competition next Saturday night, where I NEED MY FRIENDS TO COME AND VOTE FOR ME!!! So I can win some cash (and a Karaoke party you’ll all be invited to, of course!) Let me know if you can come!!!!
And for those of you NOT on Facebook. (Do these people really exist??) Here are the clips from the two songs I sang last week. I LOVE SINGING COUNTRY! You can take the girl outta Oklahoma….
Lisa is a grateful, born-again follower of Jesus Christ who has spent her adult life on the Gospel in several global contexts. She is the wife of one wonderful, jungle-gym of a man, who is to her the single most ravishing piece of flesh on planet earth (stolen good-heartedly from Christine Caine). She is a dedicated home educator to their four beautiful children, ages 6 to 12, whom she would be happy to gush over any time. She is an avid reader and a storyteller, an aspiring writer, a missionary to the nations and a singer of His praises, a loyal friend, an obsessive-compulsive Googler, and comedienne extraordinaire on her best days. She would also like to think that she is a loyal and loving, truth-telling friend.
Awesome job!! Love your version.
But I gotta say…..I think it’s the spinning disco ball lighting effect that really makes it special. Ha!!
When is the next performance?
Saturday night!!! I was SOOOOO nervous last week! Pray I can loosen up and NOT be all nerves at the finals!
Lisa, I always enjoy listening to you. Good luck!
